I Am Sick Of Tax Breaks For Corporations And The Top 1 Percent

A while back I posted Mr. Bregman's display in Davos. I guess he got a ticket for good old Tucker Carlsons' show a couple of days ago. I think Tucker really didn't do his homework when he invited this duck 🦆 on.

To say it in modern youtube conservative words: "Poor Tucker melted like a snowflake.".

I’m am sick of the mind numb indoctrinated libs spewing the same old income inequality socialist crap . You are making that dumbass ( AOC) appear intelligent by comparison.

@TexChik I'm not a lib.

What argument are you making here? Or are you just sick of things?
... You don't believe that if there is a too high amount of inequality in a society, that this might lead to all kinds of diffrent problems?

I hope you feel better soon 🤗

@Kwek00 socialist / lib 🤷🏻‍♀️?

@TexChik Liberals and socialist are fundamentally diffrent as a political ideology. But I know that if you have only 2 big parties to represent your case in congress things get blurry really quickly.

I'm also not American and altough I believe in certain values of Liberalism, I don't adopt all of them. And altough I read and agree with certain socialist ideas, I would not adopt "socialism" as my prefered go to ideology today.

But can I ask you if you can define socialism? Just to make sure we are on the same page.

You also didn't answer my question on what argument you were making? Or that you harbor a believe that inequality in a society doesn't lead to problems?

@Kwek00 don’t really GAF! Cite your proof about the tax breaks . Your hero AOC heard that NY was going to give Amazon 4 billion in incentives ( tax breaks) and rushed to queer the deal
. Ultimately Amazon ( who was about to infuse 27 billion into the local economy) pulled out of NY and moved to Virginia. AOC said no matter , we will take that 4 billion and invest it in infrastructure... not understanding the 4 billion never existed . You people are clueless. Go build a billion dollar company and move to an area and tell me you wouldn’t go where the community was the most tax friendly. Thats Just good business . AOC said that Amazons 27,000 jobs at an average salary of $150K was bad for the economy because it would drive up rent prices and food prices . Genius ! The top 1% pays 80% of the taxes . “Corporations” are companies made up of people involved in capitalism. Whining about tax breaks when you are clueless about the massive investment these companies make when they expand and the economic boom created in the area they expand to magnifies your ignorance of business in the US . So like AOC, you don’t want anyone to make a good living ? Everyone should be equally poor and miserable ? 🙄🙄🙄

@TexChik Dear Texchik,

may I adress that you use the word "indoctrinated", yet so far I've not made one assumption about you? Or put you in a bracket? I didn't fill in your thoughts, neither do I assume that I know your political position. But your rhetoric can be plucked from manny conservative sources?

I'm really not that familair with AOC, I don't really follow her that closely. I've also hear her say things that don't agree with how I look at the world, so I don't really consider her a hero. (you brought her up btw, not me) She is a politician and an activist, she sells an idea or a brand. So I put her in that category and don't really use her as a source if I want to find anny truth.

I also totally agree on your claim that it's benefitial for an industrial to move to places that have low tax breaks AND have low amount of regulations. I think that's a normal consequence (and also an obligation of the management) to look for those spots and deploy their business there. It's pretty much what the capitalist system asks from it's participants to create goods and services on a competative level. You know... it might scare you, but that's actually a conclusion that can be found in Marxs' work about Capitalism too. It's not that socialists (which I don't always agree with btw) don't agree with that point.

I would like to know where you find the source on the idea that the top 1% pays 80% of all the taxes. And I would also love to see that linked to the tax-rate on their income. Cause that's actually the discussion what is need to be had. I also said in an earlier post... (which Tucker agrees on) that "Tax Evasion" needs to be tackled first... and after that we can look and democratically decide what we need to do for the rest of our society.

You also never answered the question if you believe that high amount of inequality doesn't create problems in society?
