I hate racism, and unfortunately it is rampant there. I love soccer too, and unfortunately it is NOT rampant there, lol

I also hate that their education system is dumbed down so that politicians can do so much against the interests of the average person. But that alas, is becoming the norm in many places.

Now back to soccer.......

I agree re France. Sometimes teams like Portugal get through through the side door and that is what has happened this time too. But hey, it's the game, and these things happen. Anything can happen. The ball is round. Scoring is never high so it doesn't take much more than an accidental or squeaky goal to change the outcome.

But the tension, and the excitement.... I love it.

Based on the ball being round, Portugal does deserve to be there. But I am in love with Paris, so I'm biased!!!!

I agree on the fact that there football was not beautiful but efficient. But just look at the teams they had to play during the tournament. There wasn't one single big team. There made it to the finals by playing only bad or average teams and even with that they struggled. They are champion on the paper but not champions of the hearts. Unless for the Portuguese of course...

Oh, by the way..... We Canadians do not think of ourselves or refer to ourselves as Americans, as those in the USA think they are the only ones on these North, Central, and South continents they call themselves Americans.

I don't agree they didn't deserve to win however I do say that there were far more exciting games and teams to watch.
The stylec Portugal play is pretty unexciting and they play a lot to waste time which makes also not fun to watch but they were not beaten in the whole tournament unlike others.

France. Its simpy the stromger team. I don't understand how Portugal could even make it to the final. The first game they won within the regular play time was the semi final.... so what ate they doing in the final?? C'est pour ca que je dis: Allez les bleus!

Sorry about that. I just red the word soccer and assumed you are from the US. I know that Canada is not the US and for a lot of things is somerhing to be happy about. Eventhogh i love the US and have travelled many times.

I think portugal wins. Portugal has not the better team but they play clever. France play the better football and also the enjoyable. But i think today the brain and the nerves will win the match.

No actually not 😋 But I followed the tournament and there are at least 10 teams that would have deserved the title more than Portugal. Its really a pitty. But at the end of the day this is football, unfortunately

If you become champion after having won 1 (!!!!!!!!) Single game after 90 minutes during the entire tournament than you are not a champion. Its a disaster and a pitty for the sport.

Look a couple of years ago portugal play the best loking football in europ and win nothing. Now it dont look so good but they have sicces. Its just a game. :-)
