@Dshhh I too think it's still prevalent nowadays. I also think the internet has made the situation worse. Human trafficking has increased because of this. If someone wants to put a target on your back then it's easier for them to do so nowadays. Surveillance is being implemented all around the world like crazy. The Chinese need to be especially careful because they have this new technology on the streets that scans everyone's body and collects information on them from height, sex, facial features, etc. While this tech was supposedly implemented to fight crime it can easily be used for a crime if it is misused by a criminal.
