@ArishMell: You just spilled a whole boat load of wisdom with that comment. We all need to respect others as fellow human beings. Embarrassment is a learned personality trait. Observe the "modesty" definitions that are so varied between the Muslin burka to nudist families such as ours. Yes, religion creates barriers between the human race that need not exist. We need to treat others with dignity and respect. 😭
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@kaf9292:

I agree, but not only barriers or respect between different beliefs. Also barriers or respect between members of the same belief, or even within families. And by "respect" I do not mean it as dishonest euphemism for fear engendered by bullying; but a two-relationship that accepts individual's rights to be treated with dignity, as individual human beings, and to transcend even long-held pseudo-"traditions" of indistinct origin and even murkier aims.

I love the one standing on the stone steps. I'm always really careful when I'm wearing dresses that short though!

Some of this dresses are very "christian".
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@Deleteyourself: yes we are
Snapper · 31-35, M
@Deleteyourself: It's a bit disturbing in a way. Some of them are very short, and what's with the raised leg in that one photo! I don't think this is just about wearing a dress to be a lady. I'm thinking some creepy shit is taking place.

A lil short on most of them is that considered to be appropriate?
adelesmith · 26-30, F

That title... LOL!!

It is a superb non-sequiteur!

So if you were to wear jeans or a trouser-suit one day, that would immediately condemn you as an apostate? :-)

It's been years since I read anything in the Bible, even voluntarily*, but I do not recall it being a fashion-guide; not even for the Middle-Eastern, Late Bronze Age to Romano-Judaic societies for whom it was actually written.

*Last time, it was a Gideon Bible in a hotel room. I had no newspaper or book with me; could not watch television or listen to the radio because I've no telly at home so don't know how to use those remote-controllers... And I read only the archaeology chapter, not the scriptural ones, anyway.
asnorkler · 70-79, M
I find all of the pictures arousing. A woman can appear seductive even fully dressed. A fter careful evaluation I think I like the one of you in the purple dress best, but it might have a lot to do with your bare legs 😛
chrisCA · M
Curious as to the reason why?
Is it in the Bible?
chrisCA · M
@MasterDvdC: I hear ya.
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
@MasterDvdC: Don't forget that skirts are much more comfortable on the mature male body since there aren't any crotch seams.
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
@chrisCA No it is not in the Bible.
Samson2000 · 22-25, M
All of our clothes are bought for us too. My stepmom decides on how we dress all the time. Did you have other rules on how to dress?
norinradd · 46-50, M
Does it mine the long the skirts/dresses are, or Christian rules don't say anything about it
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
I fully agree. Nice pics. You look lovely in your dresses. Your sandals are cute too.
Anna99 · 22-25, F
Who is in the picture, you?
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@ArishMell: there is nothing wrong with strict rules
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@MrsPeterEvans:

ONLY if they serve a genuine, constructive purpose. Rules that help no-one but the ruler's ego, are pointless. Strictness for the sake of it, including the sort of humiliating dress-code you seem content to allow your husband to enforce, is bullying.
chrisCA · M
@Anna99: "not in fashion". Ouch 😅

You are so lovely 😊 I love your dresses
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@JustKate: thank you 😀

@MrsPeterEvans: no worries 😉

Wonderful pictures. Christian men should wear dresses since that is what Jesus wore. He didn't even own any pants nor did any other guys of that time. Dresses and skirts are much more comfortable than pants as I have discovered over the past 20 years.
Rebecca54 · 70-79, F
I wore trousers in the 6th form at school - then wore dresses and skirts for the next 40 years. I now wear trousers mainly in cold weather.

Would you wear trousers if you were allowed to?
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
My husband wouldn't want it he likes me in skirts and stockings. Trousers would feel strange now maybe but I can see for chores and cold weather they are useful. i have to wrap up well! @Rebecca54
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
@MrsPeterEvans My thoughts too. Trousers are so confining after wearing mostly miniskirts when the weather permits.
mathsman · 70-79, M
You are so cute in a dress
ArishMell · 70-79, M
"How [you were] raised..." I assume that now an adult, you dress to suit you, place and occasion, not your parents' tastes?

You look great in Photo 7 (from the top) in that grey mini-dress.
KarenStm · 61-69, M
and boys too.
You look unhappy in the pink dress where you have pigtails. I'll wear the dress for you if you don't like it.
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
So should Christian men. Mich more comfortable. Jesus never wore pants either.
SW-User
@kaf9292 Not only did he never wore pants... he was also a cunt.
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
@SW-User Why would you say that?
SW-User
Mmm, very hot. No, honestly... I think those dresses you're wearing... 1. Suits you and 2: are very sexy. Makes my mind going. ;)

@Happyguy123: A short dress or short skirt is not hot. Today was hot so I wore a mid-thigh short dress so that I would be cool. I can't understand why you would be hot in a dress that short since I am quite comfortable.
Happyguy123 · 46-50, M
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
@Happyguy123: Wrong. She appears to be comfortably cool. I wear dresses similar to the first picture when the weather is hot so that I can remain as cool as possible.

I think so too.

Nowt to do with Christianity, far more with keeping women and girls subordinate by petty clothing dictats.

Very possibly, judging by some of those outfits; though to be fair, perhaps unwittingly and thoughtlessly.

Don't get me wrong, a woman can be very elegant in a dress or skirt, but it should be by her choice and context; not to suit others' weird para-Christian notions.
