I Love Reality Tv
I Love Reality Tv...
I love watching reality TV, but hate these game shows that call themselves reality shows. Sure for the most part many of the Reality Shows are games shows (Survivor, TAR, etc.) but some of these shows just need to admit that they are just game shows. I do miss my Directv and Fox Reality, as some of the foreign Reality Shows that they showed are really great. Their is a great one whose name I can't recall at the moment came from New Zealand and was kind of a combination of The Mole and Survivor. It was a show that took real intellegence to win. The one US show that was great that they showed was LOST. LOST isn't the popular TV show that is on know, but a Reality Show that NBC did.
My love for Reality TV came from watching the one that got it going in these modern days was The Real World and Road Rules on MTV. I haven't watched the Real World in years, and Road Rules was cancelled, but in both cases in the early years it wasn't about looks and people trying to get TV Time, but reality.
Another US one that I loved was Joe Shmo. I sat and watched both seasons (I own a copy of the first season,) and think that this was amongst the top three Reality shows ever done. It was written very well, and even though you were in on the whole thing, it was so well written and done that I had to turn it on each and every week.
I use to wonder what it would be like to be on one of these shows, then I started watching the lastest series of the Bachelor. As teh women got out of the limo to meet the guy, I began to wonder if any of the women or men who were "the star" of the show have evfer been a minority? I realized that I really didn't care about that, then I began to wonder about the men and women who would be eliminated through the process. What is it about these people that they need to come onto a show like these? Are these people so really undesireable that they have no other place to go? Do they need mental help? I think that the best one that I have seen lately was on this new one where the mothers are involved, and after one of the girls was "beautied up" by teh other girls, she left on her own. I think that she looked beautiful prior to the makever, and I really wish the best for her in the future, but with many of these ladies I wonder what theri problem is? Are they really Material GirlsGuys who don't understand that true love has nothing to do with looks and money? Yes it is great to have those things, but Love has much more to do than those things.
But yet I love reality TV. TAR, ANTM, Big Brother, Biggest Loser, and so many others.
