That's some of the most assanine bullshit I've ever read in my life. Like a lot of ultraconservative extremists the writer doesn't have the 1st clue wtf they're talking about. A lot of things ascribed to goth culture, like Satanism have nothing to do w it. And for the record Marilyn Manson is not Satanic, nor is he goth, although a lot of goths do like his music. He's just irreverent and like fuck w stupid ppl's heads.
Goths are generally some of the most peaceful, nonviolent ppl you'll ever meet, they're just v anitestablishment. A lot of what might appear to be a fixation w violence among members of the culture, or various genres associated w the culture, is cultural commentary, and an indictment, and repudiation of mainstream society and culture, and it's own hostile, alienating, sociopathic tendencies. Anyone who believes this crap is a clueless dimwit, imo. Speaking as a member of the culture myself.
