I Feel Much Older Than I Really Am

I’ve seen a lot of things, in my young life, that most people never see in their lifetime.

In some ways, that’s affected how these things affect me. Desensitised to violence and intimidation means that I am harder to scare, I guess.

Is it a good thing or bad thing? Well, I can only live the life I am presented with.....that is my starting point and perspective, right? So, it is what it is.

Thanks for saying this. When I was in my 20s I was a swinger if sorts. I answered one ad and was met at the door by a jealous husband with a gun. He said I don’t know what you want with my wife and I said I don’t either. I left. He pointed his gun pistol at my face when I knocked on the door. I never either responded to an asmd or placed any more ads. I was scared.
