I Need a Break From My Life

I told my mom for the first timeI feel like I want to die I'm really tired and burnt out, all she said was get some sleep. I regret having kids and I'm so depressed I could easily jump out of a window. I NEED A BREAK FROM MY KIDS NOW BEFORE I PUT MY HEAD IN A BAG!!!!
Don’t tell us. Or, yes, tell us, but also tell somebody who can help. If you can afford it, hire a sitter for a weekend and go sit somewhere and stare at the water or the wall for that matter.

If you can’t afford it, call a friend and barter...if you’ll watch my two for a day, I’ll watch your two next Saturday.

At home start instituting inviolable you time. When you are in the bathtub with a glass of wine and bubble bath, nobody bothers you unless it’s life-threatening.

Set up a once-a-week family meeting where grievances can be aired. If someone complains about something that is not immediate, go deaf. ‘We’ll talk about that at the meeting on Tuesday.’ Refuse to engage otherwise.

Can your mother handle the kids for two days? You need to refresh and breathe. You’re not just a mother, you’re a human being.

First thing is to calm down. You need a safe mediatation place that no one but you is allowed to enter. Mine is still being set up. The kids will grow up fast even though it doesn’t help now. Drink wine, talk to a doctor about medication for anxiety. Make time for yourself. I have been there. Create a tumblr too reblog.

The father couldnt cope with the eldest so left. I have been dealing with everything on my own.

@Batman a man doesn't want to help raise someone else's kids no matter how hot she in a black nightdress lol. Especially when one of those kids has issues. And I'm not blaming men it's hard work.

That sounds really stressful. Are there any local summer camps or church camps that the kids can go to for a few hours? That will give you some time alone to relax and rest.

Where is the father?
You should stop sharing your feelings/thoughts with people who can't understand you.
Take a break from your daily life and try mindfulness. Have you ever thought about getting professional help such as counselling?

Medication doesn't work if nothing changes around you. I was on strong tablets and they worked but when things stay bad the only way your not gonna buckle is if you take the whole pack.
