I Have a New Job

I started my new job yesterday. I have been doing nothing but training and orientation and it has been exhausting. Don't get me wrong I am happy to have a new job but after being out of work for so long I am not used to it yet. So far I have gotten nothing but compliments. I am working for a customer of my former company and they keep saying how bored I will be here, they are right I will end up being bored, I know that ahead of time but they laid me off, they decided I was no longer needed, they didn't recognize that I would work from 9AM-5PM then come home and work 7PM-3AM at least 2-3 times a week. I poured my heart and soul into that job but it is ok. This job allows me to move and work from anywhere I want to, even another country if I decided to do so. The hardest part about being laid off at my old job is I wasn't able to complete some personal goals I had worked so hard toward, I was so close to those goals too. Felt like I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel and someone put the light out, collapsed the entrance and bricked it in. I should just be happy that I have this new opportunity

Thank you all very much. You are very kind!

wish you all the best .. may you take all your experience from the former job and apply it here .. making yourself better, and realising that too much sacrifice for a job is not really worth it .. unless the boss recognise said sacrifice.

My friend, I so wish you the very best, you will do well, because it seems that you are quite positive about your new job, keep your chin up, and all will work out beautifully!!! :)

Congratulations, I know you will do well.
Just think of the layoff as being redirected....
