If these people who have hijacked the title "liberal" were real liberals, perhaps so, but these people are not liberals at all. They are some kind of political hybrid of authoritarianism and hedonism. It's very difficult to pinpoint exactly what they are , but they will not tolerate any opinions but their own. They will silence any opposition and they will do anything , no matter how wicked, to enforce their way of thinking, and their agenda.
We owe a debt of gratitude to real liberals and progressives. They accomplished great things for the American worker, minorities, children, and the environment. It's been a long time since I have seen a liberal. All I see now is a surreal Orwellian nightmare.
