As a nation, do you think our altruism is passive aggressive and superficial, or can you see some sincerity?

(in my opinion) The "Altruistic nature," at it's very core is derived from a place of sincerity and compassion.

@Iwillwait I hope so. Sometimes Islamic warlords will steal food shipments, and people do literally risk their lives to help the poor and starving.
