As a nation, do you think our altruism is passive aggressive and superficial, or can you see some sincerity?

At a mass level it is superficial and even selfish, which turns the whole thing into a massive cringe carnival of irony.
If you zoom in though there are some genuinely good folks. It's a subjective experience.
