True That!

I’m more than lucky in having a mum in the first place. In this day and age and what with Covid and all that crap, with people dying, family IS very precious.

Mum’s always been great to me. A little strict at times, but I would grudgingly admit that I had needed chastising, but all done with love.

She’s taught me a lot. Not just about being a woman, but about education and on how important family are to her and how to keep everyone together...for that I am grateful.

I do love her. She’s great. A bit misunderstood, but she is my mum.

There's no perfect recipe for parenting! As long as the results are good.........

@fancyboy Yes. I am the oldest so, I guess, some of the mistakes she may have made have been with me.

But yes, I would imagine if you loved that parent and appreciated them for investing in you in whatever way they can, then that’s the best you can ask for.

@MiyaDuponte Exactly! I've been on both ends - my parents weren't perfect, but they definitely prepared me for whatever my own children dealt! Haha...........
