I Was Caned On The Hands In School
I was about 8 or 9 years old and playing on the playing fields of my junior school at playtime. I was running down a slope and lost control of my footing and ran right into a girl who I knocked over. She began to cry and a teacher came and took me to the headmaster.
I'd never really been in trouble before but he took his cane out and gave me 2 hard strokes on each hand. I was in floods of tears and I remember crying for most of the rest of the day, partly because it really hurt but also because it seemed really unfair as I'd not meant to do anything naughty.
