this is a scripture drawing a parallel between the second coming and the days of Noah. Those who entered the ark in Noah's day were saved, and those who refused to enter the ark were left outside. Were tehy left out for another chance? To learn and plead? No, they were left to be destroyed by the Flood.

There are no second chances. This is the only one you get.
