I Lack Self Control

I'm trying very hard this week to keep myself from buying a bunch of finches to live freely in my apartment. I know it'd be a disaster and they'd be destructive, but I love them. 😟

and more likely a lease violation.

remember terms. remember also there's others living there with health issues.

IE: allergies.

and improper care can lead to spread/transmission of disease. though the birds may be disease free.

watch out for feces.

AND, if there's a pet rent. some of that pet rent is freaking expensive!!!!

and make sure before you get any animal, especially those who are stealthy, that they can't escape, get trapped, lost in the vents, under equipment, appliance and other.

All very good reasons. I'm in control. 😞

Finches are great. But if you had them flying freely, you would need to be very careful. They can hurt themselves so easily. Flying into the blades of ceiling fans. Flying into mirrors or windows. Also, if you get males and females, you will have them nesting in some unexpected places.

If you have a spare room, you could get a very large cage. And I guess a chair for you. Leave the cage opened so they can come and go as they please. But keep the door closed. No mirrors. Keep the window covered. Make sure to have breeding nests inside the cage so they will use them.

True. I wouldn't want that at all. Poor little birds.

Did you read my comment about the bird lady? She dose that, a room just for the birds.

I read it right after I wrote this. The screen door idea is brilliant. I didn't think of that. It was my only concern, that the birds might be too close to the door and get injured upon opening it.

Birds are alittle messy. I know a woman that has a spare bed room that she keeps birds in. She put a screen door on that room, works ok.

I'm going to do that someday when I manage to afford a house. 💕

She's known as the bird lady. People bring her chicks that have fallen out of nests or injured birds and she takes care of em. Some she releases when they have healed up.

Finches are some of the most beautiful birds there are and need to be free for their song.

So fun to Watch them and imagine what they are saying with their chat!
They must boast when the preen their feathers and fly around without a care!

They move so quickly, it's hard to actually see them. They are light coloured on their underside, so nearly invisible against the sky. The only way I actually know I'm seeing finches, is by their flight pattern.

In the US there are many species in the wild if you like to bird watch.
I do find your idea of javing them in your house highly original!
Not freely.. In a cage.. Else they will poo on everything
Oh.. I head that some people aren't allergic to poodles? (As far as pet allergies go)

I do love dogs, but poodles aren't my favorite breed. (weird how guilty I feel saying that 😒)
Lol I know what you mean..

Go round yourself up some pigeons

We already have a pigeon infestation around these apartments. Not my fault. They were already there when I arrived. 😏
