Have you had success with dieting?

I assume the first rule of diet club is 'You do not eat all the pies?'
One lady I did a job for (electrician) was a smiling, jolly sort and telling me in apologetic terms that she was on a diet when I gave a sideways glance to the box of Tesco cream cakes on her kitchen table.
She never did give me one.
