I Lost a Friendship

It seems like life is a continual series of goodbyes. And it appears that a friendship I have had for over ten years is coming to a close. It saddens my heart.

What began as a simple chat relationship with someone at another site developed into something greater than I had ever anticipated. I shared many of the same values, we had similar interests, and enjoyed playing backgammon together.

We did some things which we regret, but developed a close bond. We bore each other's soul to one another. We shared faith and fellowship.

There was a time when I was not there, but when I came back it was if I had never left. You always accepted me for who I was, as I did you. We laughed and cried together.

You might never read this, but if you do, thank you for being my friend. Forgive me for the wrongs I have done, I have always forgiven yours. I know one day we will see each other again.
