I Lost a Friendship

Been corresponding with someone for 6 months online, someone I thought was a good friend and confidante. Today, I get an abrupt message saying “goodbye .... was nice while it lasted ... you’re boring”. I once told a person that he was boring and did not realise how much it hurt, until I myself was at the receiving end. Two lessons I’ve learnt from this: online friendships are flippant, never tell someone they are boring. Be nice to people who are nice to you and if someone does not want you in their life anymore don’t impose.

I understand the fleeting nature of online friendships but not why they would feel the need to be mean in saying good bye.
Good that you can see it as a learning experience.

One constant in life is that people will pass through your journey with you, some intersect and some run parallel. People can either be a blessing or a lesson. It takes some time to figure out which they will be.

I have come to realize that most internet relationships ( 99.9% ) of them are fleeting, and I have yet to meet that .1% person on line!

PS: Good advice learned the hard way!

💔 online or real life
Sucks when people are don't consider others feelings.

🤔There's always a lesson....isn't there.

At least you got a ggobye message, one of my pet peeves is people just leaving without knowing why they left
