I Ended a Friendship
One Of My Closest Friends......i Thought.......
I have never made friendships easily, therefore, I cherish each one..I have only ever ended one close friendship.
I met S. when she worked for me at a fast food restaurant in which I was assistant manager. She was a little older than me, but was vastly inexperienced in fast food, her forte being convenience. She was very sweet to me, and we became fast friends..she called me Penny Anne...don't have a clue why. I got my food free, even while not at work , and many nights her family only had something to eat b/c I would promo it in my name. I never minded helping her...I even hired her son to work the grill, so that her family would have more income. We worked there together for about a year. She was the first one there when I lost my baby, Misty. She left the restaurant to accept a managerial position in a convenience store, and promptly enticed me into being her assistant. It was a great working and friendly relationship...we were very close. I had to leave the store b/c of unrelated matters, and we lost touch after that.
About two years later, I was the asst mgr at another store..and S. walked into my store looking for a job. She filled out an ap, and was set to start working the following week. She told me that she had to go to the neighboring state to get one of her sons, and was worried her car wouldn't make it, so I gave her my phone card to use in case of emergency. To make a long story short, she charged up over $300 on my phone bill...that was the end of the friendship....I only saw her one more time..a chance meeting at a local store. She acted like nothing had happened...I ignored her, and have never seen her again.
