@Budwick Basically nobody can - at 250mm on a crop sensor, you need stabilization even in daylight. Luckily, the 50-250mm is a stabilized lens.

@QuixoticSoul yes it is, and I shot at 1/800, using the rule of thumb twice the focal lengeth

@fun4us2b actually, it is just one of the zoom lenses included in the kit. The new camera allowed me to crop the image fairly tightly and uploaded to my mobile device. It represents amazing new technology.

@rjc36 didn't try that. There is really so much light pollution here, I didn't see stars. I am going on safari in February. I will let you know then. I assume the answer will be yes.
