Why do people put up posts and then delete comments that have evidence that they are wrong?

How isolated do you have to be that actual proof hurts your ego enough you have to delete it?

"Wrong" is subjective these days, and saying someone is wrong, as if you alone know the truth, is arrogant and delusional.

Maybe people just don't feel like dealing with you.

@SumKindaMunster ahh that’s why reference material is needed to back up your claim. I’m talking about when you have evidence to back up your claim and not just opinions.

@KaraLuvz Thanks for the clarification.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of propaganda, gaslighting and misinformation floating around out there.

If you are speaking undeniable reality like physics or math, then I have no issue.

However, there are TONS of half truths, pseudo sciences, misdirection and straight up propaganda when we are speaking of social issues or politics.

How are you so certain your evidence isn't just popular at the time or the opinion du jour of the moment?

What makes you so certain you are correct?

@SumKindaMunster I try to base my opinions on source material as much as possible but then again it is my opinion of said source material. So I do try to put it through a logic test. Does this really seem plausible or is something not quite right about it? I try do this without involving emotions, which I’ll admit doesn’t always work especially on topics regarding science.

@KaraLuvz Perfect. Well if we ever have a disagreement, I will hold you to those standards, and give you the benefit of the doubt. 👍

@SumKindaMunster I will do my best to live up to those standards
