Nine years ago he was in a care accident (drunk driver, hit&run) that resulted in a quite sever brain injury. He has issues with vision, mobility, communicating, etc and needs a lot of supervision, prompting and assistance. If it wasn't for me he'd not be able to live outside a care facility/ group home.

I (we) do have support. There are good friends that are willing to help out. There is also respite care through home care. I take advantage of both if I need to.

What is wrong with him? Don't you have any help from friends or family or professionals? Can you arrange a break for yourself? You shouldn't have to feel this is a secret. Talk to us.
