How long should a front end alignment take?

I called up a tire place I go to for new tires, and they told me it'd be a 2 to 2 and a half hour wait for a front end alignment. It really takes that long? I seen some DIY videos on YouTube about it, didn't watch them but I can't imagine it takes 2 to 2 and a half hours to do the job.

Depends on how many other cars are in front of yours.

@nonsensiclesnail I was wondering about that, because if you show up like 15 minutes before they open, you can be first one in and you're out in like half hour to 45 minutes. So I might go over in the morning and see if they could do it for me.
@twiigss sounds like a better situation!
