I Said We Can Not Change the Past But We Can Change the Future

I think a good thing thats come from this virus is that it's cut through the shit and the noise in many aspects of life. Celebrity culture is no longer relevant and many have been revealed and seen to be out of touch attention seekers. None essential and luxery goods are not cared about, only food and medicine, family and friends are more important, activist "luxery" causes have fallen silent in the face of real crisis. Rage bait journalism has died overnight and their companies are going bust, the streets are quiet, the air is cleaner, the rivers are cleaner, it's silent after late afternoon.

It has magnified a lot of the problems now that we have something to compare it to. Even if some of the positives are because of something negative that's shed light on the cracks in society.

I believe humans will be humans, and forget fast, like they always do.

@Carissimi Probably so. Even if these generations kept to it the next would repeat the same mistakes.

Like you I hope this will bring positive change, but unfortunately humans have notoriously short memories.

“If men could learn from history, what lessons it might teach us. But passion and party blind our eyes, and the light which experience gives us is a lantern on the stern, which shines only on the waves behind us.”

― Samuel Taylor Coleridge
