I Have Something I Need to Say
Perimenopause... 馃槀馃槃
Right I'm just learning that the menopause is actually when the process has completed and you no longer have had any periods for 12 months, the time leading up to the completion of the menopause is called the perimenopause when you can experience all the various symptoms as the hormone levels are fluctuating..
Now this period of time of being in the perimenopausal state can last for anything up to 10 yrs..Now I appreciate that women can suffer an array of symptoms, the mood swings which we know can be hard for the guys to deal with, insomnia, headaches, dizziness, hot flushes, itchy skin and dryness and general tiredness..
Luckily I haven't experienced any bad moods although I do notice a little less tolerance than normal on occasions not constantly, my biggest issues has been flushes, headaches and dizziness and sometimes feeling very lethargic..
I notice more that people around me have taken to blaming my perimenopause for their bad behaviour...I question someone's bad manners or being disrespectful and I get quoted " be careful it's your hormones"....seriously! While I appreciate it can affect some that way, my moods have stayed fairly neutral, I've never been a moody person anyway. I'm normally very calm but I find my calmness dissipating when others deem fit to use my time of life and symptoms as an excuse for me questioning their actions..lol
I hope of course that the symptoms don't last for too many years but I hope more that others around me don't assume that if I speak up about something that it's got to be my hormones and its not them behaving like complete asses...lol
