Is URA, or Amway are legitimate ways of making money, or getting access to success?

It's been 4 years since I've graduated from college, and I haven't found work, much less work in my field. Especially due to the coronavirus; and my degree is in communications. A friend from college messaged me on Facebook with what sounds like a really promising deal. So after two online meetings, I was told to watch a video on this program on how to make money. It seems complicated and doesn't make sense to me. Basically, how it seems to work is you volunteer for the mentorship program, and get paid a basic fee for being a part of it. Then if you recruit more people into it you get paid more, and move up in the ranks. Getting you more access to lucrative counseling on starting your own business. The biggest red flag for me is that the guy in the video said “Don’t talk about this unless you have a pipeline income in your life.” because people don't understand how all of this works outside the program, and that you only know enough now to be somewhat competent and well informed, and if you move along with the program you'll learn even more how it works.

I'm desperate to get my career, and my life off the ground, but this sounds like a scam. So I don't know what to do, and need advice on how to get where I want to go in life.

Short version is no, don't do it.

MLMs like Amway make money by selling their product to people buying starter kits hoping they can make a go of things. Unless you have a unique gift for salesmanship and a lot of connections you can mine who would be happy to buy from you, I'd steer clear.

I wish there was a good answer for work for you, but MLMs are not that.
