I Miss My Sister

I normally don't write stuff like this. But lately, I've been missing sister a lot lately. Her name was Paige, she was one of my best friends. She passed on September 15, 2017, from bacterial meningitis, she was 26. She never had a chance to meet my fiance, I know she would have liked her. Time doesn't really make the pain any less, or the memories any less intense, I don't think I'll ever fully stop missing her.

You have my condolences. I understand. I had one sibling, my sister who was killed in July 2005 in Kandahar, Afghanistan while serving in the U.S Army. No remains. No flag. No bullshit letter from the president. Listed as missing presumed killed.
It hurts terribly. The only consolation is the fact that she believed in what she was doing whole-heartedly. I am a veteran also, with a different perspective than she had about war.
