I Like Sports
So I was at my daughter soccer game and we have strict rules. (At least I thought strict). About parent coaching from the sidelines.
This has 2 impacts on the game :
1: it makes the girl not think for herself and not communicate with her team because daddy is tell me where players are and who is open.
2: it gives an unfair advantage as the players have extra sighted. I.e. $name pass there’s someone right behind you.
So a group of dad on the other team is being very vocal about thier coaching to the point I get up and stand behind them and in a loud voice say “gentlemen I think there is a rule about coaching from the sidelines”
The four of them face me and are like go back to you seat. Go over there yada yada yada yada.
Ok. I made my point (I thought) And I start walking be to my chair. And one of them says that right walk away boy.
Omg. I think Wtf. You seriously want to escalate this you seriously want to do this here now? Ok.
I turn around and walk back and stand directly be home the leader of this group and whisper in his ear. “I was trying to polite mate”.
Without look back he says “so was I”
So agin I walk back to my chair a few murmurs but nothing much.
But they stopped coaching from the sidelines.
My daughters team won 3-1.
So yeah. That was my afternoon yesterday
