I Take Rectal Temperature
When ones a little, I loved having an RT done by my mom.
She would take my pants and undies down together and place me over her lap.
After lubing My little hole and the tip of the glass thermometer, she'd gently insert it into my rectum about an inch. Then, while waiting the 4 minutes for a eeading, she'd rest her warm palm on my coil bottom with the thermometer between her middle and index fingers. This helped me to relax and enjoy the experience to its fullest.
RT's were very common for children as most doctor's offices and hospital did it thus way. Many moms did too.
Since it was so natural to get RT'S, back then, it was only natural for us to do it In this manner in our doctor play.
Back then Matell made a plastic kit with a plastic thermometer VERY closely resembling a real one complete with markings on them. As you might guess, the thermometer and the syringe saw the most action in our games since most kids received shots in the bottom in my day. It was the natural way of performing these procedures.
