I Am a Disabled Veteran

I haven't really shared a lot about this part of my life until just recently and even with that, not a great deal of details. There are many reasons one, as I add a lot, not looking for the pat on the back or recognition. But wanted to share a bit of good news for once. Today I qualified for a program called Telemental Health. Basically, it allows me to get the mental health care I need without having to leave my home. It may not sound like a lot to many, but for me, it's huge. I can't drive anymore because of my injury and relying on others isn't the best. The VA has some programs to help, but it's not as reliable and you can end up having to reschedule or miss appointments altogether.

This doesn't get rid of all face to face appt's, but it sure cuts down on the stress my body and mind go through. Worse thing about it though, gotta put this uga mug of a face on the cam. Man, I feel for that doctor.

So, among all the crud and usually darkness, a sliver of light not too bright has shown through. As always, thanks to anyone taking the time to read my dribble. Will try to write more often and share things a bit more exciting or provocative and entertaining.
