I Love Wearing Platform Heels In Public
Not just platforms although the clumping sound they make is very different, and I'm always warier of rough surfaces than with non-platform shoes.

I regularly wear wedge boots with heels about 4.5 inches. I have them on right now at a local table sale, I wore them to the doctors yesterday and wear them regularly for business events and conferences. No one has ever commented, and four of the conferences had about 5000 people there. I've not ventured out in stilettos much - just in quiet places to get pictures. When we can upload photos I'll put some up.
