We can only let go of the past and live the present moment, attempt to appreciate what we have. I saw your response on another post, letting go does not mean one does not care about someone or something anymore. It means we probably realised that the only thing we can control is ourselves. Letting go is a conclusion, an acceptance of a state with a focus on how to reconstruct our lives. We forgive and move forward, not necessarily erasing our memories. We can choose to keep memories, to me they mean a lot and are a foundation that cannot be overlooked.
