I Am a Demon Hunter

I'm an Occultist, I research the Occult, myths & legends and what not, but I'm curious. What does "Demon hunter" mean exactly? I'm not bashing on your beliefs or your profession? I guess you could call it. But when I was at the experience project before it shut down,I met a lot of people claiming to be demon hunters, and to me that seems to because of "supernatural" wouldn't you agree? Someone told me that they eat salt each month because of demons trying to possess him/her, not sure if that person understood eating too much salt can kill you and it's one of the reasons I dismissed that the maybe demon hunters out there, it's not the only reason I'm sure you could take a guess why. Like I said not bashing. I want to believe and I just want to know your experience, how do demons look, do you hunt any else than demons, etc.

The salt thing actually made me laugh considering most food already has sodium in it. 'Oh yeah my cholesterol is shit and my blood pressure is through the roof but NO DEMONS GETTIN ME!'

To answer your question though. Demon hunters fall under the same classification as the supernatural hunters. Yes that show has a lot to do with the early 20s and under group claiming to be such. The legit hunters usually do banishing, exorcism, etc. It's like a sub group for hunters generally speaking. Like that's what they specialize in.
