I Am Afraid of Rejection

I've said to myself a couple times to try not to be attached to someone because friendship only ends in two ways. You'll either be friends forever or not and it usually ends with the second way, leaving you hurting. If I don't attach myself to someone then I won't have to deal with the things that come after they leave me. But doing that is hard and I guess I just have to learn how to let go.

if you enjoy yourself during the friendship then is it not worth it? I mean longevity isn't a luxury we have, since we are all going to die. I see life the same way. Just because we are going to die doesn't mean life is not worth living. The worth of a life or really anything is determined by the quality of the experience, to me anyways.
