I Am a Survivor of Domestic Violence

What they don't tell you is that coming out of an abusive marriage doesn't mean they ain't still in your head...sometimes it gets tough for me to realise that I'm no longer in danger...

I always find it ironic that because you know the person or were in a relationship with someone - their crimes aren't called "attempted murder" or "assault with criminal intent". They call it "domestic violence" like it's some kind of normal thing for a domestic situation.

They will never be out of your head, that is the way your subconscious takes care of you. Always be aware and stay safe.

I understand this . Make yourself feel safe now in any way you can. I does get better . I’m very sorry .
I still have anxiety about it at times. We have children together, so I still have to deal with him
