I Love My Parents But Find Them Extremely Annoying Sometimes

Ok, so this is going back December last year. First my parents got my very first mobile phone right? And it took me a few minutes to realise it's a 2000 model.

I hardly use it it always off. Now my parents asked if I can take it into school but leave it off? WHY WOULD I WANNA SHOW MY FRIENDS THAT THING!!! It's not even like a smart phone (soz am shouting).

"At least take it when out with friends?' Ha! I don't think so. Anyways I explained it against the rules for mobile t be in school. "Come on! Am sure many people do it?" YEAH, DAD! Am sure you would've showed same encouraged ment if I had a smart phone or phone made after 2012 (not).

@rckt148 Still man am gonna get picked on big time if people see me with that phone. I already have enough problems. But when I speak with parents I have to like think how to say no whilst keeping my cool.

@Rob04 I understand ,I am from the bell bottom pants and high heel boot generation
But Dad wanted me to have short hair ,straight leg jeans and plaid shirts
So I earned my boots ,I cut the straight leg jeans and sowed a patch in the legs that made them into bell bottoms
And I refused the hair cut
And I covered the stupid shirt with an Army Jacket

I think that is why he made me move out at 13
In my house I could wear the things I wanted to ,and have long hair

But I joined the Coast Guard at 16 and was in boot camp as soon as I tuned 17
Bell bottom jeans were actually part of our work uniform
I had boots ,but no high heels
And the hair cut sucked ,they peeled me like an onion

I get it ,one day you will get Dad too ,he is not trying to ruin your life I promise
Not all things new are better ,we learned that the hard way
you will too ,so have patience with him ,,and cut yards ,buy your own phone
He will respect that
