This band seems to be maturing more in their sound every time they come up with a new release and that's something I can rarely say about groups that emerged out of the heyday of pop punk and are still playing that music today. Respect!

I swear, none of this is planned! That last add might look like I've listened to each song beforehand and just made all of that up before reaching one I settled on, but I am typing all of this in real time and reacting to it as I'm going along with it. I just have these instincts about me when it comes to searching for new music. I hear one song from an album that's good, but something tells me there's something better and I'll keep looking until I find it. Sometimes my instincts are wrong and I'm sure you'll see plenty of that in these sessions; perhaps in this very session, even. You know, I really hate remixes. Most of them add nothing to the original and are just rubbish. As a rule, I don't add any remixes at all unless they're done by the original artists themselves or if they happen to be exceptionally good. The latter of which is extremely rare. After doing some research, I've found that McCartney himself oversaw this reimagining of his previous album, so this is a case of the original artist doing the remix themselves. However, it is not a case of the remix being particularly good. Which is too bad, because McCartney and Beck are obviously two very respectable artists that would probably sound amazing together on any other occasion. Just not this time, I'm afraid.
