I Like Being Alone But Hate Being Lonely

I don't know how it's possible. I have a side that loves being alone, but another that wishes to be more social. It's so strange.

This is my life exactly, I currently feel like finding some new people that are more similar and beneficial to my life. My current friendships drain me way too much.

Solitude verses loneliness... that's been my life too.
Solitude is the positive kind, a kind of self-reflection opportunity or simply one for peace. Loneliness is feeling left out, that no one (many times not even God) cares, worthless, and totally isolated. It is the negative kind. Every life will have some of both, and it is the self's duty to overcome the loneliness.
