I Go to a Boarding School

One of my duties as Big Sister is to collect the mobile phones of all the younger girls in our house before they go to bed and store them safely until the next morning. This is really important as the illuminated display can disrupt sleep patterns which is not good news 😕 The policy was really unpopular to start with, but now it is mainly supported because girls notice the benefit of better sleep 🙂 6th formers are allowed to monitor their own use of phones, but I try to do the same because I need loads of sleep too 😌

The girls can collect their phones as soon as they wake the next day, but they need to get up early because I may be out running or doing exercises in the gym 🙂

That is a really good policy. I also collect my students' phones before lessons so they are not disrupted by them. That said, my own phone is also switched off, of course!
