I Am a Free Thinker

I am a free thinker. I have traveled across the cultures and have studied sciences. I am quite educated about history too. Still, I have chose to believe in GOD. I believe in GOD after all the freedom I have given and that doesn't make me less of a free thinker.

That's what some people fail to understand--that someone can accept both scientific fact AND religion in their life. Some will say that people must believe in one or the other, with religion being science's polar opposite. But that isn't true at all.

Religions and God don't necessary mix.. much of religion is about power, unity towards rules of society and politics... science , and God however are one and the same..@walabby:

Science and faith are intertwined. People who cannot see this, cannot see beyond numbers and graphs.

Well at least you think about it, some don't.

Define God. What is it?

I think that you are right, but secularists don't believe that gifts like that even exist. I believe that they do, but are very personal, inasmuch as gifts/experiences can't really be shared. They can only be experienced by oneself.

@walabby: Thats because they lack the understanding. Simple.
walabby · 61-69, M
@Zonuss: Yep, and they lack understanding because their belief system doesn't allow for any other viewpoint other than their own narrow minded point of view...

I couldn't have put this better. I too have traveled and met people from a huge variety of cultures. Although I only studied science and history at secondary school (high school) level, I've always had a keen interest in these subjects and have done my best to teach myself. Ditto with philosophy.

At a young age, I questioned the existence of God but soon came to the realisation that faith gave me answers that other, more academic (for want of a better word) disciplines did not.

Thank you for posting this.

So you believe in God and is a freethinker. Interesting concept right here. I think you are more of a Liberal thinker, and someone who is not dogmatic or traditional with your beliefs.

Very traditional in my beliefs in fact. I happen to knew that some religious freak heads invented the algorithm back in 8th century. He also commented God neither can be proved or disproved from mathematical knowledge.
