Father Bob is way beyond the expected standard required by the Catholic Church. Basically, the closer you are to God, then the further away from the church you are. People such as Father Bob, are like canaries in the mine shaft. They are the first to go, as confirmation that things are definitely not right, and that no-one should enter that mine shaft, since it is unsafe, unhealthy, and probably set to collapse.
