I Love Industrial Music
I love primitive industrial music from the early 80s, artists like Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Maurizio Bianchi.
I love it for its deliberate will to stay away from the mainstream and profit-making. Done with basic equipment, released through cassettes whose destination were the avid ears of very few crazy fans all around the world, it had an amateur feeling that is now lost.
I love it because behind the screeching sounds, the mechanical beats and the anguished voiced, I can hear the cry of a soul trying to escape the control we are under every day.
