Population study says the world currently can support over 25 billion

The planet can HOLD that many people...where the hell are you going to get enough food to feed that many people? I guess the population study didn't consider that?
dale74 · M
That is food production
Fatjosh69 · 36-40, M
Oh please! I'd love to know where that Stat came from. We can't even feed all the people on the planet now.

Not sure the show I was watching but right now the united States alone makes enough food to feed the world if you elemanate waste if you applied that around the world you would be just under 30 billion by farming all farm areas in the US and Europe as well as South America and Asia

@db1984: okay so let's assume that is correct. Does anyone honestly beleive that the population would stabilize at 25 billion? I have serious doubts. At any rate well never make it there anyway. We'll kill each other off a long time before we reach those numbers! We cant maintain peace and order as we sit now. Never mind 3 times our current population.

The problem would be when a world desaster devastated a large portion of food causing wide spread faman

@db1984: let's just hope we don't get there!
