I Have Been Homeless

Currently am as I write this, with parents luckily. We're all clean and sober. Getting any income is awfully hard when you have mind disorders & no physical address. Luckily we caregive for money. If we get more income, landlords require too much so we're better off renting & owning a rv, tiny home or cheap home. Many cities should enact laws to not discriminate or harm the homeless. Allow more overnight parking. Hoemless shelters can be very dangerous. Food pantries have expired, BPA canned food. Housing, health & food are essentials . I hate seeing so many slave their whole life til retirement to have these. C'mon, enjoy life & your job. Help each other out. Heck, grow some plants & trees if you can. USA society too much about greed. I know many want to say lazy but tons of homeless do work or do make an effort & are still stuck. Make it easier to own a place too. Everything falls apart without housing. You reading, yes, you, are likely a paycheck away from being in this state. And dont assume that family or friends want you. In fact, go test them out and see their true character. Actions speak louder than words.
So true. I stayed in a homeless shelter for a short time. It was very humbling. You're right about something else: anyone can be just a paycheck from being unemployed and homeless.
@BeatsProductions: I moved in with a friend and eventually, was able to secure an apartment. But this was years ago. It was a good reality check.
Sounds like a good friend
@BeatsProductions: It was a kind gesture. I paid rent for one of the two bedrooms. Nevertheless, I was glad to have my own space again.

this is too true. I feel ya.
True. Sad though. Glad to hear that you're doing better though.
Its not for sure just yet. Disabilitys still pending. Retirement is considered too.
@BeatsProductions: Well best of luck to you.

I know it's kind of useles to say.

But it's not like I can give you food, a shower, a ride or a place to sleep at night when you need it.

How's your situation now?
