If you chose not to believe in them and the do exist, you'll lose everything.

@Atheist Pascal's Wager? Is that who said that. I don't remember where I heard but it sounded like good advice to me. I believe in the spirits and how we move on after death. I was never initiated in the full tribal law of my dad's people but I know enough to respect it.
