I Wish I Had a Better Relationship With My Mom
She likes to gamble. She invited me once, but I lost $20 early on. She was still playing. I got nervous and ended up playing and losing $60. Not fun.
I didn't want her to know because she already thinks one of my sisters is bad luck who makes her lose all the time (😂...it's true though 😒).
She'd wind up thinking I was bad luck too or that I was a buzzkill (or whatever equivalent of that word she'd use).
I wandered around the casino for an hour before finally just telling her I had to go home. It was a small casino...I got bored, and she plays all night sometimes. She never invited me again, but I can't say it was a bummer. I don't like gambling.
