It was really relaxing and beautiful, but no surfing, at least not anything worth bringing my boards.

@Synyster Yeah the Caribbean side was much the same....but dang if that water wasn't gorgeous!! 😍

@skmokisses The water and the beaches were amazing. Actually the resort was awesome as well.
Regardless of how beautiful it was, It will never beat Maui North Shore. 😍

@Synyster I drove around the entire island last time I was there in 2010. Went at Thanksgiving for the Maui Invitational Basketball Tourney in Lahaina. Stayed not far away at the south end of Front Street, Puamana Condo gated community.

@KentuckyWildcats Did you get to a town called Paia, in the North Shore?

@Synyster Yeah, went on the bicycle sunrise ride down the mountain and ended up there for breakfast in a restaurant that Willie Nelson frequents. Willie lives not too far away.

@KentuckyWildcats Yes he does and Woody Harrelson has a place near Paia as well.

@KentuckyWildcats Yup, been there for Breakfast and dinner. I rented a house about 1 mile up from Paia. Beach house on Tavares Bay.

@Synyster I think that beach is near where the helicopter rides took off from? Surrounded by cliffs? I was there in 2006 also for basketball tourney. Ppl I was with took the heli ride but I stayed behind cruising around for that hour. It didn't thrill me @ $280. I spent a year in Vietnam riding the choppers as a infantryman.

@KentuckyWildcats Yeah, it might be. Don't blame you, $280 can be spent better on various other things during your trip.

@Synyster Did you ever go to Big Beach/Little Beach? They are separated by sandy hill you have to climb over to get to Little Beach which is clothing optional. You can Google it to see it.
