I Hate Racist People

I hate when people say a string of racist shit (for example, against black people), and when you confront them about it they say, "Oh, I have friends who are black" or "I have friends who are [insert race here]". Uh...okay? What do you want me to do with that information? Do you want me to contact your "friend" and inform them that you're a racist on the DL? Like...

"Friend" in this case usually means some acquaintance from work they almost never speak to.

Exactly... I don't know why people use that phrase like it supports their argument. It doesn't make you any less of a racist to have "friends" of that race, it actually makes you more two-faced than anything.

Yeah, or they do the shit of "well my black/latino/asian/jewish friend said...so it makes it okay". No, it doesn't. Who elected them to speak for their entire ethnic/racial group?
