The true reality

Today I print a picture
To hold before your eyes
A layer of magic dust
To cover all the lies
You may never see
There is only apathy

Today I place an image
One you choose to believe
Highlight the desirable
And fool the naive
You may never see
You will never be free

Today I paste a poster
Enlarged and in bold
Bright colors that enforce
The story I have sold
You may never see
It's all a game to me

Today a pin a portrait
One digitally altered
Underline the fake smile
Hide where judgement faltered
You may never see
The underlying agony

Today a post a profile
Designed for seduction
Meticulously fine-combed
To disguise your imminent destruction
You may never see
You mean nothing to me

Today I plant a photo
Deep inside your head
Forever it will stick
And all will be misled
You may never see
Never see me.
